  We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to oversee the operations and strategic direction of both TAD Foundation and Team See Possibilities. The Executive Director will play a pivotal role in advancing the missions of both organizations, driving growth, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the effective utilization of resources. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative leader passionate about making a meaningful impact in the non-profit sector. Both TAD Foundation and Team See Possibilities share the same values and similar visions to empower young people who are blind.  While the TAD foundation focuses on providing opportunity and mentorship in employment, TSP focuses on building peer-to-peer and mentorship support in post-secondary education. This position will spend approximately 2/3 of time focused on TAD Foundation and 1/3 of time focused on TSP. Each organization will have separate fundraising and program goals. Each organization will also keep separate books, have different boards, and have separate admin responsibilities. TSP will not require as much fundraising support as TAD Foundation.

• Objectives
  • Build public awareness of TAD and publicly represent the organization as a credible, primary spokesperson who liases with corporations, local media, national foundations, and other key stakeholders
  • Oversee staff and volunteers of TAD, providing guidance, performance reviews, monitoring, and goal setting/delegation
  • Develop, implement, and execute an action plan for TAD fundraising
  • Develop and implement robust strategic marketing/fundraising plan in tandem with the mission of TAD
  • Manage monthly cash flow, including oversight of bookkeepers, tax-related matters, and any legalities
  • Create and distribute monthly TAD newsletter and blog content
  • Work closely with the Founder/President of TAD and TSP to assess needs, priorities, opportunities, and risks
  • Manage the TSP Scholar Applications (March-April) and Selection process (May-June) each year
  • Schedule and host monthly TSP mentor calls
  • Create and distribute a quarterly TSP newsletter
  • Organize and lead monthly TSP scholar leadership council meetings
  • Manage TSP strategic Marketing and Fundraising
  • Complete other administrative tasks deemed a priority by either founder/president
• Key Responsibilities
  • Meet aggressive annual fundraising goals by securing financial support from foundations, corporations, individual donors, and government funding sources
  • Execute the TAD Corporate Partnership Engagement Plan to recruit partners across corporate America through various incentives and offerings
  • Collaborate with the board of directors and committee on annual fundraising galas and other events for TAD and TSP
  • Oversee all external communications, including website, marketing collateral,newsletters, and social media for TAD and TSP
  • Serve as the face of both organizations and participate in external events toincrease visibility, credibility, and market brand, and develop strategicpartnerships to further increase community awareness and expand programs

• Required Skills
  • Management experience in executive-level leadership, preferably within both corporations and nonprofit organizations/NGOs
  • Demonstrable experience in strategic fundraising, public relations, and marketing
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with innovative approaches to business planning and culture curation
  • Dynamic and charismatic team leader who thrives as the public face of an organization
  • Experience in managing multi-million-dollar budgets
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills

  TAD Initiatives:‍

  Through a 3-prong approach of mentorship, parent programming, and corporate partnerships, TAD will ensure blind students are not just showered with resources they need, but also placed in positions to shine in the workforce.

  1. Mentorship: Students receive access to TAD’s proprietary training materials on technical and leadership skills, are paired with both blind and sighted mentors, participate in programming held over several weekends per year, and are placed in internships/jobs over the summer.
  2. Parent Programming: Parents of blind children are equipped with resources and the network to raise their kids with the highest of expectations the moment their child can talk and walk: access to Braille, cane travel, technical skills, and much more.
  3. Corporate and Community Partnerships: TAD has a pipeline of talented and qualified blind students to place in roles, as well as consultancy and thought leadership around disability inclusion, accessibility, DEI, and ESG priorities for companies. Through synergies, TAD wants to partner with all organizations big and small to create lasting impact and awareness.

  About TSP:

  Team See Possibilities (TSP) is a nonprofit organization founded by blind endurance athlete Dan Berlin and his guides that offers scholarships and mentoring to students with vision impairment. In October 2014, Dan became the first blind runner to cross the Grand Canyon and back nonstop and has since taken on many more endurance challenges.  We are working to develop the next generation of role models in the vision-impaired community by providing scholarship, mentorship, and peer-to-peer support. We offer the opportunity for scholars to connect with many highly successful professionals who are blind and working in diverse career fields such as neuroscience, law, corporate management, and entrepreneurship. Our goal is to foster a vibrant mentorship network of mentors and capable, driven students. To date, Team See Possibilities has provided over 80 scholarships equating to over $400k in funds going directly to students' education. Each year we have around 20 students join the program and are building a network of alumni.  Dan and his team continue to pursue epic endurance challenges to raise awareness of overcoming perceived limitations.
